Visitors to the Dell will immediately notice the beautiful new dry stone wall, which was built this summer by specially trained stone masons. Many of them trained at the Dry Stone Conservancy in Lexington, Kentucky. Using local Butler sandstone and reclaimed stones from the original 100-year-old wall, each worker was able to complete approximately 5 feet of wall per day per person. Now the wall is finished, new benches will be installed on newly poured concrete pads. We are hoping the City will also provide new trash cans to complete the park’s makeover!
