While FWPD can be thankful for its many partners who participate in the Dell, two individuals deserve special attention:
Many thanks to JHU student and baseball team player, Thomas Solomon, for spending numerous hours in the Dell between October and December. Following the JHU Baseball Team’s morning of service this fall, Thomas, expressed interest in continuing service in the Dell. After many hours of service, Thomas has mulched trees, cleared pathways of sediment, swept stairways, removed litter, trimmed ivy from trees, expanded planting beds and removed graffiti from park benches. Many thanks to Thomas for all of the great work!
Also, we are fortunate to have newly retired Duncan Stuart living nearby and dedicating a significant amount of time to the Dell. Over the past many months, Duncan has removed a significant amount of invasive plant material and has enhanced wildlife habitats within the Dell, among many other projects. Many thanks to Duncan!
